Emily Eagle joined Disability Rights North Carolina in July 2026 as a CASE team Attorney, where her work will focus on intake. Before joining DRNC, Emily served as a G. Rollie White Fellow at The University of Texas School of Law, overseeing pro bono legal projects involving special education, Medicaid appeals, Title IX, and alternatives to guardianship. During law school, she also gained experience through internships with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Disability Rights Section, the Federal Communications Commission’s Disability Rights Office, Disability Rights Texas, and The Arc of Texas. Emily holds a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in political science and theology from the University of Notre Dame.
Emily’s passion for disability rights is deeply personal. Having lived with a disability since childhood and having used a guide dog since 2017, she has experienced firsthand the importance of accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunity. These experiences inspire her commitment to advancing justice and ensuring that people with disabilities can fully participate in their communities.
