Join Wake County Libraries and DRNC staff for an inspiring session, “Olmstead Now in NC,” held in conjunction with Disability Pride. This event commemorates the Olmstead decision – the landmark US Supreme Court case that found the unjustified segregation of disabled people into institutions as discriminatory and celebrates over twenty-five years of tireless advocacy for the rights of individuals with disabilities to live and receive services within their communities.
Disability Rights NC staff will share their experiences and reflections on the progress made, challenges that remain, and the continued work to advocate effectively for these rights. It’s ON!
