Von Weston

Paralegal/Advocate

Von Weston joined Disability Rights North Carolina in May 2022 as a paralegal/advocate. She has over 30 years experience in litigation with a specialty in insurance defense, personal injury, corporate and banking law, family law, trademarks, patents and immigration. Her passion for disability rights comes with lived experience of caring for both of her late parents. Von believes that “if you want to make a difference in the lives of others, use your talents and gifts to help effectuate a positive change.” In essence, don’t complain about the issue if you can’t help contribute to finding an answer to the problem. Von holds a bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, a Masters of Legal Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and is a NC State Bar Certified Paralegal. Von is a church pianist, vocalist and the mother of a 16 year old daughter, Erin, who is a volleyball phenom, and an 19 year old son Adrian, who is a rising sophomore, majoring in Social Work at NCCU in Durham, NC. Von loves the mountains, quiet time and spending time with her family.
