Supervising Investigator

Kishona Mimms joined DRNC in 2012 as an investigator for the investigations and monitoring unit and was named supervisor of the investigations and monitoring team in 2022. Mimms graduated from Touro College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She obtained a master’s degree in urban policy/public administration from Brooklyn College in 2007. Mimms worked for seven years as a paralegal in the sex crimes/special victims bureau of the King’s County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, N.Y. where she conducted child abuse investigations. She also spent two years working as an associate investigator for the NYC Department of Education in the special education unit. Mimms, who relocated from New York with her husband and two children in 2009, loves spending time with her family and running the children’s program for her church.
