Investigator

Katie Castro joined DRNC in July 2019 on the Protection and Advocacy for Beneficiaries of the Representative Payees team. Her work focuses on investigations involving Social Security beneficiaries and their representative payees. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Minor in Social Work from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA.  She previously worked at Disability Rights California in Los Angeles, CA and at Crossroads Sexual Assault and Resource Center in North Carolina as the bilingual services coordinator.  She also worked at Family Abuse Services in Burlington, North Carolina.  In her free time she enjoys shopping, going to the gym and spending time with loved ones.
