Jonathan Ellis joined DRNC’s board in December 2022. He resides in Murfreesboro, North Carolina and works as an independent Scentsy Consultant. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with emphasis in Public Relations from St. Andrews Presbyterian College 1996.

Jonathan has served on the board of North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities, Trillium Health Resources Board of Directors (Northern CFAC Chair), North Carolina State Consumer Family Advisory Committee and as an Eastern representative of North Carolina Council of Community Programs. Johnathan brings incredibly valuable lived experience and a passion for serving the next generation.

He shared “I have lived with intellectual and developmental disabilities for nearly 50 years now. Because of there not being any state services back in the 70s both my parents had to work therefore we had to rely on friends, family and neighbors and sometimes my schoolmates to sit with me after school until my parents got home from work.”
