Assistant Legal Director for Litigation

Holly Stiles is a native of Asheville, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill and a J.D. from New York Law School. She started practicing law in New York City but soon realized she is not a forever New Yorker and moved back to North Carolina. She worked for Disability Rights NC from 2009 to 2018 enforcing the rights of people with disabilities to access, work, and play in the communities of their choice. Holly left Disability Rights NC in 2018 to work for the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as a trial attorney in the Raleigh field office. In 2020, Holly returned to Disability Rights NC as litigation counsel. Holly recently transitioned to her new role as assistant legal director. She has served as a senior attorney team leader of the former CAT team and trial attorney for the US EEOC. For almost three years as a member of the litigation counsel, she has effectively lead litigation efforts in high-impact systemic reform cases. She is well prepared to lead DRNC’s litigation efforts.
