Ashleigh Swayze joined DRNC in August 2021. Her work focuses on investigations involving Social Security beneficiaries and their representative payees. Swayze has over 10 years’ experience in the social services field. Prior to coming to DRNC, she worked in economic service and child protective service for several local Department of Social Services agencies. Swayze holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from North Carolina State University. She also earned her master’s degree in public administration from Western Carolina University. For many years, she has advocated for the rights of her youngest son, who has a rare genetic syndrome. Outside of work, Swayze and her husband love attending music concerts and enjoy taking their boys hiking and camping.
