Did you miss the conference?

Watch our video below of DRNC’s Virginia Knowlton Marcus interviewing NDRN’s Marlene Sallo at the 2023 Disability Advocacy Conference.

Marlene Sallo is recognized as the first woman, first Latina, and first person with a disability appointed as Executive Director to lead the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN). She believes that amplifying where disability intersects with other identities such as LGBTQIA+, non-native English speakers, and Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color is critical component of successful advocacy.

If you need a copy of your certificate of attendance for CE credit or want to verify that your continuing legal education credit was submitted, please email conference@disabilityrightsnc.org.

Lawyers and paralegals licensed in North Carolina can receive up to 5 CLE credit hours, including 1 hour of ethics credit approved by the NC State Bar.

The conference is endorsed by the NASW-NC Peer Review Board (#E-209-472023) and attendees are eligible to receive five (5) continuing education credits (CEs) for attending all four breakout sessions, and the plenary session.

Social workers and peer support specialists will receive a certificate of attendance (5 hrs that may be used to obtain course credit).

Refunds requested before April 18th (2wks before event) will receive a full refund, minus a $25 handling fee and any applicable processing fees if purchased on Eventbrite. Refund requests received April 19th or after, may receive a partial refund but not guaranteed. Refunds may be issued electronically if purchased on Eventbrite, or by check within 21 days of written request emailed to conference@disabilityrightsnc.org.

By registering, participants provided their consent for Disability Rights NC to photograph and record video images at the event, and to use and publish such images.
