Sanya was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, but moved to Orange County, CA in 7th grade. She attended the University of Maryland where she majored in Criminology and Criminal Justice and minored in Law and Society. In addition to her studies, Sanya was also a Division 1 athlete on the gymnastics team at UMD. She is currently attending Elon University School of Law and just finished her 1L year.
