Max Parker is a second year Juris Doctor candidate at the University of North Carolina School of Law. After receiving their bachelor’s degree from Davidson College, Max worked as a litigation paralegal at Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc. in the Charlotte Housing Unit, where they helped tenants with disabilities access reasonable accommodations.
Max’s legal interests include poverty law, housing justice, and civil rights. They are the president of OutLaw, UNC Law’s association for LGBTQIA+ students, and the treasurer of the UNC Law chapter of the National Lawyers’ Guild. This summer, Max is excited to learn from the Disability Rights team and community, and to contribute to the organization’s advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities throughout North Carolina.
