Madeline Pool

Legal Intern

Madeline Pool is a first-year Juris Doctor candidate at the University of North Carolina School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Georgia,. Prior to law school, Madeline worked in child protective services and served as a case manager at an emergency housing shelter in Athens, Georgia. These experiences sparked her interest in housing law, education rights, and community services.

At UNC Law, Madeline has participated in a pro bono project focused on expanding access to affordable housing in the Durham area. She is eager to continue working alongside community members and the team at Disability Rights North Carolina to advance legal protections for people with disabilities. In her spare time, Madeline enjoys knitting and hiking
