Cari Carson

(Central Region)

Cari Carson, of Durham, serves as the chair of DRNC’s PAIMI Advisory Council (PAC). Cari is an attorney advocate for students with disabilities in North Carolina. She is particularly passionate about improving outcomes for students of color with mental health disabilities. Cari is a former special education teacher who taught in Louisiana for two years prior to pursuing her law degree. Cari holds degrees in law and social work from the University of Michigan, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education from the University of North Carolina.
