Update 8/10/2020: Thank you to everyone who submitted comments and feedback to us. This comment period is now closed. DRNC board, Paimi Council and staff will begin looking over the results of this survey in the coming weeks before we finalize the Advocacy Targets for 2021.

What are Targets?

DRNC does not have the resources to tackle all the issues facing people with disabilities. That is why we create Targets. Our Targets are the goals we will focus on during the year. They will guide our legal advocacy work. We ask people with disabilities to help us update these goals every year.

In addition to the work listed in our Targets, we monitor facilities to keep people safe, and provide information and referral services to self-advocates. DRNC will always do this work, so it is not listed in the Targets.

Why your feedback is important

DRNC is asking for your feedback on our Targets for 2021. We want to make sure we are working on the issues that will help people with disabilities the most. DRNC is accepting public comments on our 2021 Targets now through August 3, 2020. Your feedback will help us make better decisions about our work. Our staff, board and mental health advisory council will carefully consider all the comments you submit before we finalize our new goals for October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2021.
